Launch Pad is a work community in downtown New Orleans. Our members are entrepreneurs, freelancers, and people working for out-of-town companies. First and foremost, we are a community. We support and learn from one another, and together we are building our careers and businesses.
Launch Pad’s core values are community-driven. We value creativity, collaboration, positivity, social consciousness, integrity, achievement, risk-taking, and fun. We encourage you to strike out on your own, take your business to the next level, perform at the your peak, create something inspired! Our mission is to create a work community that supports entrepreneurship, innovation, career growth, and makes New Orleans a better place.
Launch Pad opened June 1st, 2009 borne of a collaborative effort by Chris Schultz, Will Donaldson & Barre Tanguis. We worked on the business plan for a startup and co-working space together, and came in 2nd in the 504ward business plan competition, which provided the seed funding to launch Launch Pad. Our partners, VCE Capital invested in the project as part of their committment to early-stage entrepreneurship in New Orleans.
We are proud to support the New Orleans community by hosting educational events and programming at Launch Pad. We are the home of Social Media Club New Orleans, BarCamp, and Startup School. Together with the Idea Village, we curate the programming for the IP, the building we are in. The IP opened in April, 2009 as the hub for technology companies in New Orleans, with successful technology focused companies like iSeatz, Turbo Squid, Carrollton Technology Partners, and the Couhig law firm.
Launch Pad members can choose from three membership levels: co-working, permanent desk, and private office. Learn more about each membership.
